Holcim NZ currently requires a depot coordinator to manage the end to end logistics of our products and to assist with the operation.  

As a depot co-ordinator you will have  the responsibility of  supporting the Depot Manager to ensure the depot is appropriately staffed, maintained and controlled in a safe, productive and cost effective manner to meet the needs of the Company and effectively.

Main Responsibilities

  • Leading and fostering a culture of "Zero harm - Safety first"
  • Participating in regular Health and Safety meetings on site.
  • Ensuring the accurate reporting and recording of all health and safety incidents, near hits or hazards in a timely fashion using company procedures and systems.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public.
  • Ensuring the Depot Manager is kept informed of incidents or issues, which may adversely affect the company's reputation or lead to legal proceedings.
  • Ensuring all communication to staff and outside agencies is professional, timely and supports the best interests of Holcim.
  • Positively contributing as a member of the Wellington Depot team at meetings and planning sessions and actively promoting collaboration amongst team members.
  • Representing the Wellington Depot team as required at company meetings and external activities.
  • Compiling monthly reports and ad hoc queries and reports as required.
  • Fully utilising system tools to ensure timely and effective reporting to the business.
  • Ensuring continuous depot storage and distribution operation to meet the needs of customers.
  • Ensure stock is accurately accounted for and reported as per the inventory management schedule
  • Process daily production and dispatch documentation
  • Monitor contractor's and operational activities on site
  • Assist with Repairs and Maintenance scheduling, execution and payment
  • Assist with the monthly Safety, Health and Environmental compliance schedule
  • Ensure that purchase orders are processed in a timely manager that meet s the company KPIs

About you

  • Accurate and efficient scheduling and dispatching of orders. 
  • Maintains effective control on all silo and warehouse stocks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and application 
  • Problem solving skills
  • Intermediate computer skills - Word, Excel
  • Car (Class One) Licence 
  • Forklift (F) Endorsement
